Secure form boo-boo
01 Nov 2007 | Angie H
Earlier this month I was filling out a form for something. I actually don't remember what. But I was shocked to see this:

Normally when you're asked to enter a password on a site (either during registration or login), the password field is covered by dots or asterisks. Why? For security, especially if you're on a computer in a public place (such as the library or the computer lab at school). So it was rather discomforting to see this glaring mistake. It just screams amateur hour. Make sure your site doesn't do that.
