Avenue Hair Design & Nails

We've been working with Avenue Hair Design & Nails for several years now, and we recently gave their website a facelift.

The impetus for the realignment was Avenue's recent affiliation with Aveda and completion of some major remodeling in the front area of the salon. The updated look and feel of the salon, both inside and out, instantly made the website sub-par. So our goal was to keep the site's content (though modification and tweaking was involved) and simply change the design/layout to better match the brick and mortar location's new look.

Because Aveda is a hugely popular beauty/cosmetics brand, it was important that Avenue's partnership with them was evident on the website - in much the same way it is at the salon. In order to do that, we worked with Avenue's Aveda reps to ensure we were using their brand correctly. The home page is where Aveda is seen the most through the Flash-based ad rotator. We included this not only as a way to make it clear that Avenue Hair is an Aveda salon, but to help boost leads and sales through the implementation of specials.

One thing that the previous site sorely needed was more photography. That was one area we heavily focused on. Through a combination of stock photography, Aveda photos and our own photo shoot results, we were able to better give a sense of what it's like at Avenue Hair.

The site also features several forms, email marketing (provided by our own email marketing system), and before end of Q1 2008, online shopping for gift cards and packages. We also provide website maintenance and SEO tracking / analysis for the site.
